Government Debt Securities

At ALSE are traded all the securities issued from Republic of Albania in form of short term debt ( Treasury Bills 3,6 and 12 months) and long term debt (Treasury Bonds over 2 years). Firstly they are issued at auctions of the primary market, organized by Bank of Albania. Then the holders of these securities can re-sell them before the maturity date to make their positions more liquid either through bank counters (retail market), or at the Albanian Securities Exchange ALSE. Due to much higher competition and transparency , investors have more benefits and lower costs if they do these transactions through Albanian Securities Exchange ALSE.
